CATSKILL RESIDENCE(Completed 2021)

The geometry of this house was created by deconstructing the typical gable roof style house found in local architecture. The tall roof points are a response to the heavily wooded surrounding areas. The tall large windows on all sides of the façade optimize the views of the mountains and the stream. The entry opens up into a triple height space that splits the program of the house at the intersection between the private, public, and working spaces. Towards the right, a hallway leads one to the bedrooms; in front, the stairs take you to the loft work area above; and to the left, the kitchen, living and dining rooms.
